BIO
Neon Hitch was born in the south England countryside in London. Her father was a lighting technician while her mother and siblings were gypsy circus performers street performing and making and selling jewelry and clothing around Europe. By age four, she was traveling and performing with the Archaos circus. She was a trapeze artist, fire swinger and stilt walker and had performed all over Europe by the time she was a teen. Hitch left home at age sixteen to "find her place in the world", wound up in India, and finally settled in London for her music career.
After singing on several tracks for Greensleeves Records, Hitch was signed to The Streets's label The Beats. She also opened for 50 Cent at the Nottingham Arena before The Beats closed in 2007. Soon after, she was flown stateside by James Johnson (owner Pilot Creative Services Inc), who asked her to go to New York to meet with him and his client, Songwriter Benny Blanco. Within the next year she co-wrote and sang background vocals for pop punk band Friday Night Boys' song "Stupid Love Letter", co-wrote "Blah Blah Blah" for Ke$ha, was featured on Miike Snow Benny Blanco Remix of "Animal," and co-wrote and sang with electro hop group 3OH!3 on the Almost Alice soundtrack. In early 2010, she was signed to Warner Bros.
