(March 3, 2023; Unity Records)
Bio
Hailing from the French Caribbean and living in Brooklyn, Adi Oasis is currently taking the music world by storm.
On her debut album "Lotus Glow", released in 2023, Adi Oasis combines her her soaring voice, spectacular bass playing, and signature retro-futuristic production to create a body of work. The album, which includes special guests KIRBY, Leven Kali, Jamila Woods and Aaron Taylor, is Adi’s most personal work to date – and also her most political — as she reflects on what it means to be a black female immigrant living in America.
For Adi, the political themes are unavoidable. “Thematically my new album is fearless yet vulnerable, and also more political, because as a black woman these are my truths.” The album is also a personal celebration of Adi’s hard work and perseverance, from growing up in the Paris projects to making her rock star dreams come true. "Lotus Glow represents the flower I've blossomed into, the artist I've worked on becoming all my life. The glow is where I am going next. It's my destiny."
Adi has has toured globally, appearing with such artists as Lenny Kravitz, Masego, Anderson .Paak, Thundercat, Gilles Peterson, Yasiin Bey and more, and has performed at a wide variety of festivals including Newport Jazz Fest, Love Supreme, Central Park Summerstage, Afropunk, the Montreux Jazz Festival, Cross the Tracks, and Funk on the Rocks (Red Rocks) to name a few.
